The image of Nations, local areas, regions, cities or countries, can also be promoted with handwriting.
Idea and photography by Raffaele Palma
Astounding Turin’s cultural itinerary is structured as if it were a big civic puzzle.
Similar and complementary aspects of Turin’s artistic and architectural features interact with other decorative elements of the urban décor.
Brand new vistas of Turin reconstruct and reform themselves from one moment to another.
Astounding Turin’s images are entwined with irony, irreverent garbot and the maximum concern for their ornamental and symbolic details.
The montage I am proposing here only scratches the surface of the infinite possibilities opened up by combining and reinterpreting snapshots of the old SubAlpine capital.
All of you can enjoy yourselves by breaking down and reconstructing the photos according to your artistic, cultural, historical interests; or your curiosity about any local civic legends, industries or traditions.
You can then propose your own customised civic tour to friends and relations.
You see: Turin will astound you every time!
Raffaele Palma

A palm offers its fruit to a woman. From an adjacent street appears an elephant which also seems to be fascinated in the exquisite dates proffered. In the nearby neighbourhood, some aborigines are repairing the roofs of their huts with palm leaves.
Other branches of palms are being affixed here and there on the facades of buildings as a sign of a victorious, just and welcoming city. Statues and frescos of personalities holding palm branches in their hands can be found nearly everywhere to welcome the visitor.

The capital’s historic center even receives us with a sculptured palm on a sidewalk.

One could say that Turin has really fulfilled its motto:
IVSTVS VT PALMA FLOREBIT - THE JUST MAN WILL FLOWER LIKE A PALM
